Product Designer in New York City

Your role

  • Partner with the product, engineering, and business teams in the US to oversee the user experience of the MVP from concept through launch
  • Support the US product team by applying your expertise in conceptual design, research, prototyping, detailed design, usability testing and implementation
  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the the product, engineering, and executive teams, both in the US and Berlin
  • Design mobile and web interfaces that are incredibly simple, elegant, and enjoyable
  • Design and lead research projects, and synthesize research findings to provide strategic recommendations based on users’ needs, preferences, expectations, and behaviors
  • Identify and create personas, archetypes, scenarios, and journey maps based on research data, and become a subject matter expert on our customer segments and products
  • Rapidly iterate, validate, and refine product concepts and designs

US Risk & Compliance Manager

Your Role

  • You will be responsible for providing guidance on federal and state banking regulations and their associated impact on N26’s operations in the US, including: Regulation CC (Federal Reserve), Regulation DD, Regulation E, Regulation K (Federal Reserve), Regulation P, Regulation Z, E-SIGN Act, UDAAP, BSA/AML, KYC/CIP, Regulation B
  • Ensure that N26 has effective systems, procedures, and controls for risk & compliance with requirements and standards under the regulatory system
  • Lead the operational implementation of such systems, procedures, and controls
  • Identify gaps in risk & compliance, and address those by implementing systems, procedures, and controls and working with business systems to implement them
  • Provide guidance on other compliance and risk topics relevant to financial institutions and technology companies: PCI-DSS, 3rd Party Risk Management, Check fraud, ACH fraud
  • Anticipate the impact of financial regulatory change / amendments to N26’s policies and procedures
  • Maintain issuing bank relationship on compliance-related topics
  • Establish relationships with relevant governing bodies, including but not limited to the CFPB, FDIC, Federal Reserve, and OCC
  • Review due diligence requirements for existing and new vendors
